MVP Roadmapping Workshop — FAQ

An MVP Roadmapping Workshop is a fixed-price, fixed-scope engagement that turns an idea into a plan a development team can actually build from. Over a structured set of working sessions we pin down who the product is for, which features belong in a first release and which do not, what the technical architecture should be, and roughly what it will cost and how long it will take. It exists because the most expensive mistake in early-stage software is building the wrong thing well.
A prioritized feature set separating the MVP from everything that can wait, user personas and product goals, a technical architecture plan naming the recommended cloud stack and database structure, clickable wireframes so you can see the product before it is built, and an estimated budget and timeline. You leave with a written roadmap — a document you can put in front of investors, a board, or any development team.
It is fixed-price, so you know the number before it starts and it does not move. The exact figure depends on the scope of what is being planned, so we quote it after a short discovery call rather than publishing a single price that would be wrong for most projects. Our Pricing Guide explains our engagement models, including the partnership pricing available to some early-stage companies.
No, and the roadmap is deliberately written so you do not have to. It is a vendor-neutral technical document: another firm, or an in-house team you hire later, can build from it without ever talking to us. We would obviously like to build it, and most clients do — but a roadmap that only works if you keep paying its author is a sales instrument, not a plan, and it would not survive investor scrutiny.
Sometimes not, and we will say so. A specification that already names its users, distinguishes must-have from nice-to-have, and makes defensible architecture decisions is most of what a workshop produces. What we usually find instead is a detailed feature list with no prioritization behind it and no architecture, which is the case the workshop is built for. Send us what you have and we will tell you honestly whether it needs the work.
Whoever can make decisions about the product — usually a founder or product owner, and anyone who genuinely understands the users. Technical staff are welcome but not required; a large share of the founders we run this for are non-technical, and the sessions are run in business terms with the architecture trade-offs explained rather than assumed. What matters is that the person who can say "no, not in version one" is in the room.

Start with the workshop and leave with a scoped MVP, a clear estimate, and a roadmap you can raise on.
